Hey Reader
What makes you feel joy or peace?
Jenn's Happy Place
Do you have a place in your mind where you can go when life gets difficult?
It's a place where you can engage in an activity or relax in a space that brings you joy and a sense of happiness.
I find joy in relaxing outside in the sunshine with a good book that makes me smile and resonates with the reflections of my own life.
When approached with joy, these everyday activities can be a source of solace and comfort, allowing you to be fully present and engaged in the moment.
As a caregiver,
I enjoy being me, celebrating life with adventures, and supporting others.
These adventures, whether physical journeys or mental pursuits are about having fun, learning, and growing.
Caregiving it isn't about me, but everyone who comes into my life, whether through support, enjoyment, and knowledge.
I benefit from wisdom that helps me be a stronger person and a caregiver to others.
Please take a moment now and be in a spot that makes you feel calm and present while you do the activity.
An Example of my place is when I am in the kitchen and cooking a meal, I am focused on the ingredients I need to take out of the cupboard or the refrigerator.
What measuring tools do I need, and how much time do I need to prepare the meal? Sometimes, I put leftovers together to make a meal inspired by different recipes I've made before, so there is creativity involved in cooking.
Give it a try? It doesn't have to be cooking a meal.
You are moving forward in an activity, you begin to feel relaxed and enjoy not having to overthink and you are presently enjoying the moment that you are in.
You are present and not concerned about the future but in the moment of cooking a meal that you will share with others or giving your body healthy fuel to do what you need to do as a caregiver. At that moment I am in a happy place.
So, think of your place of happiness today. What is your sanctuary? Where do you find joy? Take the time to discover and cherish these places that bring you peace and happiness.
Remember, it's crucial to enjoy joyful moments and spend time for yourself.
You deserve these moments of solace and joy in your life.
Warm Regards,
Jenn
